Welcome
Hello friends,
As the year begins to slow and the days turn cosier, I wanted to take a moment to say a big thank you for being here — and to welcome you to Joanne Boyle Creative – a place where I create designs that bring a little bit of the outside in.
I’m a photographer, turn surface pattern designer and visual artist and my aim is to help add a touch of style, personality, and natural beauty to your home, through nature inspired designs.
Whether you’ve just discovered my work or have followed along for a while, I’m so happy you’ve joined me. This is a new and exciting chapter for me — stepping out from behind the scenes and sharing more of my creative journey, my artwork, and the ups and downs of growing a small art business.
I’ll be honest: I’m naturally quite a private person, so putting myself (and my art) out there doesn’t come easily. But lately, something’s shifted. its like a ‘switch has flipped’ so now I can share more openly.
And that’s what led me to start something I never thought I’d do…
The 100 Days of Discovery Challenge
If you’ve been on my socials, you might have spotted I’ve started a 100-day challenge called #100DaysofDiscoveryUK. (Yes — I may be slightly off my head for doing this!)
So why am I doing it?
Honestly, it’s for me — but it’s also for you; the people who enjoy seeing my art, patterns, and process. My hope is that by showing up daily, it will:
- Encourage me to share my art regularly, instead of letting it hide away on my computer.
- Help me discover my true artistic voice through daily drawing and experimentation.
- Remind me that I’m capable of doing all these “hard business things” — one small step at a time.
I’ve realised that no one else can make this dream happen for me. And maybe you’ve felt the same — that I am the only one who can make these goals happen. So I’m on it…
A Season for a Change
November feels like the perfect time to begin something new. I’ve recently completed an art business course, and I’ve set myself some goals for 2025 and 2026. This challenge feels like the start of that journey — a way to build up momentum and grow creatively, every day.

Here on the blog (and in my monthly newsletter — name still pending!), I’ll be sharing:

- Behind-the-scenes glimpses of my design process and studio life

- A few wins, reflections, and hopefully some inspiration for you too
